High-flying exhibition for Dunedin | Otago Daily Times One Hundred Years Ago

…the management of New Zealand Aviation, Ltd., has decided on giving a series of exhibitions at a limited number of towns in the South Island, of which Dunedin is one.

Watching the evolutions is stated to be one of the most fascinating events of a lifetime, and the onlookers are held spellbound from the time the machine rises from the ground to its return to the point of departure.

This being the first event of its kind, a large attendance is expected.

I really love reading about New Zealand’s first forays into the flying machine exactly one hundred years ago, especially when bearing in mind that to get to NZ from the UK by any other means in 2014 would be almost completely unthinkable.
