Mobile only? One in five UK digital news readers accessing exclusively on mobile | The Media Briefing
The UK’s three largest online news sources – The Guardian, Telegraph and Mail Online – all saw between 30 and 33 percent of their readers visit exclusively on mobile devices.
I’m not at all surprised by some of the numbers mentioned here. I certainly visit the Guardian more often – maybe 2:1 – on mobile, and I visit the Telegraph’s mobile site maybe once a week and can’t remember when I last viewed the ‘desktop’ site.
Increasingly I will read the websites whose design suits my needs at the time. And for those with a decent mobile website – especially one that feels enjoyable to use – I will keep coming back, ultimately changing longstanding reading habits.
